South Range Christian Church (SRCC) is located in a small, but very active Community of South Range in Digby County, Nova Scotia. The building is nestled in a beautiful little hollow on the Sissiboo Road, between the communities of Weymouth and Bear River.

Our beginnings go back to 1851, when Sunday services were held in the homes of church members. Seventeen people made up that first congregation, then known as the South Range Church of Christ.

Construction of the first building began in 1889 and was completed two years later. The congregation has built two major additions to the building, the first in 1997 and the most recent in 2008.

As of 2017, the congregation continues its goal of bringing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to the residents of Digby County, and to serve as a meeting place for Christians to gather for worship, for Bible study, and for service for the cause of Christ. Our members come from a variety of different backgrounds and church affiliations, but we all share a common love for God, for one another and for those who have yet to know the love of God expressed to us by Jesus.

During the anniversary celebrations held back in 1991, a history of the church and those who have served in it included an article which was published in the Chronicle Herald newspaper in which was the following quote:

Members are able to speak of “its good years and lean years, but due to the faithfulness of its leaders and members, the doors have never been closed.”

For this we give thanks to God.
